Our cat is afraid of the smallest things so I wasn't sure how she would react to this backpack idea. I opened the front panel, lifted her into the backpack, attached the safety hook to her collar, and closed the backpack. I made this on my workbench, which allowed me to easily slip my hands through the straps and just go. Our first walk was a few blocks and she was behind me so I couldn't see what she was doing or how she was acting, but she wasn't trying to get out or yell. We got home and I put the backpack on my workbench, opened the front panel and she was comfortable. Removed the safety clip and she got out and then sniffed the backpack. Yesterday I decided to wear a backpack on my chest so I can look over the edge and see what my cat is doing. Happy, she sniffed the air and looked around. She walked a few more blocks and was happy the whole time. Today I put the backpack on the workbench and she came running, jumped onto my chair, then onto the workbench and got into the backpack herself. I zipped it up and we walked about a mile and she was happy the whole way. I like to carry a backpack on my chest to enjoy. The backpack sits quite comfortably on my chest and our long walk today didn't put any strain on my shoulders. You can also put your hands under the backpack while walking to lift it up a bit if you think you are putting too much weight on your shoulders. I find the construction is good, the materials are good and they ensure security, with zips and a hook inside that connects to a cat collar. So the cat can't break the zippers, moreover, the cat is also connected to the inside. She really enjoys it and now I can see that it will be a daily activity that she enjoys doing. I was amazed that she jumps on my desk and grabs my backpack as soon as I put it there. in just two walks! I would recommend this to anyone who has an indoor cat to get them out of the house and out for some fresh air. And also. It's great to run out to burn some calories! Great work on this product!
