Compared to some of the boxier padded shorts, these are very seamless. You can't see the bulging edges like you see on some of the other models. I appreciated the extra padding on the tailbone. Will definitely boost my confidence while snowboarding. I tried these shorts on underneath my snowboard pants and you can barely tell I'm wearing them. The elastic velcro band allows some give flexibility with waist management. It doesn't look like you have too much junk in the trunk. I like the velcro adjustment for men on the front. The size chart was spot on. I also appreciated the pads leading up to the edge of the next pad so it was all like one seamless network of protection. Other models I've tried have gaps in between the pads. I do feel like the lateral hip pads could've used the same beefed up padding as the tailbone, but it would come at a cost of being more bulky. All in all, very nice construction. Felt really light and breathable. Didn't feel like it was an oven with both the shorts and my snowboard pants on. Highly recommend!
