Review on Double Wedge Pregnancy Pillow: Ultimate Belly and Back Support for Side Sleepers - Perfect Maternity Gift for Expecting Moms by Sarah More

Revainrating 5 out of 5

After a few weeks I prefer it to the traditional pregnancy pillow.

I am 33 weeks old and have been using this soft double wedge pillow every night for about 5-6 weeks now. I've tried the U-shaped pregnancy pillow, wrap-around pillow, and wedge-shaped foam pillow and reached for this pillow at the end of the night. This pillow is filled with soft filling so it is soft enough to gently lift my tummy. It's not firm so I don't wake up in the middle of the night to my baby moving on hard foam and causing discomfort like I've found with other wedge pillows. The "fabric bridge" in the middle holds the pillows together and is short enough that if I roll onto my back in the middle of the night, another wedge is there with enough pressure to either wake me up to roll over to the other side or prevent me from lying on my back to help blood flow in the main blood vessels of the abdominal cavity on which the child may lie. I find the fabric very soft and doesn't irritate my skin. I especially love the adorable flamingo pattern, it's just hilarious at a time in my life where I just feel uncomfortable most of the time. The size is perfect for me - I had an issue with the large U-shaped pillow retaining my body heat so I was too hot to sleep. This pillow is small enough not to keep my body heat next to me so I can sleep more comfortably. Will it protect me from hip or knee pain? no I put a pillow between my knees to relieve this and take Tylenol before bed. But it doesn't let me sleep on my back or roll over in my sleep, so it works well for what I wanted.
