Unfortunately, the most unfortunate model of macbooks in the history of Apple. More precisely, the entire line of fifteen-inch MBP 2022-2022. Take only if there is absolutely no money for fresh MBPs. Well, or take cars not on i9 and without discrete video cards, then itβs still acceptable. Its pros: Is that the weight, color reproduction of the screen and battery life. Cons: * Screen. Leaves marks from the keyboard after closing the lid of the laptop. You have to wipe it regularly or put something under the screen when you close it. Very uncomfortable. In models like Late 2022, the screen coating peels off to the heap. This is not the case for the 2022 model. * Cooling It's disgusting. Even on a flat table with exactly one virtual machine running and an external monitor connected, the laptop is hot as an oven. It is necessary to put either on a stand, or unscrew the fans. But because of the small thickness, there is little sense. The processor, of course, throttles and performance drops very significantly. The meaning in i9 disappears. If you want to take a cold macbook, then buy only without a discrete card. * Keyboard. Replacing the entire row of function keys with a touch bar was a disgusting idea. The Esc key is especially missing. All in all, a very bad idea. Especially considering that the main contingent of MBP buyers are technical specialists most often. It is especially bad that when pressed there is no tactile response. If the F-keys had not been replaced with it, but simply added additionally next to it, then I would have had much less complaints. The butterfly mechanism in these keyboards is very brittle. Keyboards literally fail due to one speck of dust (you can look at iFixit if you donβt believe me). Yes, it got better in Mid 2022/Early2022, but not much. The keys are stuck, they just can't be pressed well. Well, a short move with a really large amount of printing is simply incredibly goaty, coupled with the problems above. As a result, there are a lot of typos and simply missing characters. After a year of operation, the keyboard becomes unusable. I broke up without regret and replaced it with 16" despite the price tag.
