Review on 9/16" 3 Bearing FOOKER MTB Bike Pedals Non-Slip Platform Bicycle Flat Alloy For Road BMX MTB Fixie Bikes by Chris Hodges

Nice pedal - But worthless in the winter

I ride my bike all winter long. I just purchased these pedals as the bearings were going out on my old-school winter pedals. They tested nice and grippy upon the installation test ride, which was in tennis shoes. There was 8" of fresh snow with their first ride. My feet slipped off several times. I had to go 17 miles and it was awful. The spindle housing is too tall for the height of the studs. The ball of my foot rested on the center of the housing and would slip outwards mainly, as well as forward. I wear ASLO boots with Vibram soles - So I rule this type of footwear out. I used clipless pedals in the warmer weather, but I'm sure these are a pedal good for my flip-flop strolls

Pros
  • Constructed to withstand even the toughest mountain trails
Cons
  • The surface of the pedals becomes slippery with sweat and moisture
