I don't really care about aesthetics so the repair didn't need sanding or painting, but it's holding up very well. After my son rode my bike (he's fine) the plastic came loose from the post holding them. They dangled and almost every impact caused them to rub against the tires, but this little car helped me put it all together. The hardest part was holding it in place (which could be solved with a second pair of hands) and figuring out when to stop inserting the staples. The staples stay cold until you pull the trigger, making them easy to reach. orients itself the way you want it, and it heats up quickly and starts sinking into the plastic almost immediately when you pull the trigger.
