The fit is true to size. X-Large is US size 7-8. My grandson reports that they are comfortable to wear and keep his feet warm. These slippers are stylish and look like penny loafers to me. I like the memory foam so it molds to the shape of the foot. Why I didn't give them a higher rating is that there is no information included or attached as to whether or not they are machine washable. As indoor and outdoor slippers, Andrew will get them dirty. I also don't like that every slipper has a "country of origin" tag that took a long time to remove. I hope I haven't broken the seal. Andrew said it was prickly so I couldn't just leave it like that. Because of these two "defects" I award 3 stars.
