Review on Glad Press'N Seal Plastic Food Wrap - 70 Square Foot Roll (Package May Vary) by Robert Goodlow

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Unique, versatile wrap that really sticks (see Edit)

An interesting concept on the traditional plastic wrap, which in general, works well. Hubby thinks this stuff is "fun" - so who am I to complain when he decides he wants to help pack up lunches or store leftovers?!The wrap can be a bit of a hassle if it sticks to itself when you are getting it off the roll - it takes a bit of getting used to the one side being very sticky and having a real liking for the corners to stick to themselves. However, this stickiness is great for keeping the wrap tightly over bowls or plates or any containers that you want to have a nice tight seal on - it really does work well.I wasn't too sure about this product when I bought it, but I must say I do like it, and once you get the hang of getting out your piece without it catching onto itself, it is a very handy and versatile plastic cling wrap.EDIT:After using this wrap for longer I have noticed that it leaves behind a sticky residue, especially the longer the wrap is left over something, the more pressure that's used, or if the item with wrap is microwaved, (even though the box says the wrap is microwave safe). This discovery is a disappointment and as a result I probably wouldn't buy again.

Pros
  • unisex-child
Cons
  • the wrap often fails to adhere to itself, causing food to spill out
