The heart of a reverse osmosis system can be easily restored with a new membrane filter.
I had no trouble replacing the original 36 gallon/day filter with a Watts 560018 50 gallon/day membrane filter. The change is long overdue! Confession: I hadn't changed the membrane filter for several years and it was obvious that it had to be replaced sooner! π€’ Awesome! After the recommended 3-5 gallon flush, the new membrane filter worked well. It is recommended to replace the membrane filter every 2-5 years. I recommend checking the filter for physical damage at least every 2-3 filter changes.
