Silent operation even at high speed!

Used living room fan to replace a smaller, much older four bladed traction chain controlled unit. Likes: 1) The Tiffany lamp shell looks amazing! 2) The fan runs quietly even at high speed, with no noticeable noise, it doesn't jerk at all 3) The remote control works even from the next room 4) The timer is a good feature, I don't like it: 1) The instructions seem to be for an earlier one model to have been written. The installer and I discussed the instructions and attempted a desktop build to determine the correct steps. 2) There are no visible DIP switches on either the receiver or the remote control, so we used a preset frequency. 3) Need mounting screws for suspension. Socket bracket included with the fan - the instructions say to use the screws that came with the socket, but they didn't come with our socket. Luckily I found a few spare screws in the rest of my kit and they did the trick. 4) The receiver must have a bracket. However, after it was placed in the space provided for it, the connection of the wires provided a stable floating position. 5) One blade had a dent which caused it to pierce and tear through the protective plastic film. However, the fan is still properly balanced. 6) During preliminary test assembly, two loose screws were found inside the motor housing. If you carefully invert the motor housing and twist it back and forth, the screws will fall out of the ventilation holes. I still give this fan five stars because despite the dislike it still looks and works well. It is not necessary to use the included balancing kit, as initial tests have shown it to be perfectly balanced after assembly is complete.
