I bought this AP to replace the wireless portion of my Verizon Fios router which was having barely enough coverage in my two story house. The fact that it supports POE made finding the access point much easier. I mounted it vertically on the side of a wooden filing cabinet. All that was required was a Cat 6e cable from my Ethernet switch. The only tricky part of the setup was the fact that when you're done making changes on the configuration page and then click SAVE at the bottom of the page, you're NOT done. You need to go to the Configuration tab at the top of the page and click Save & Activate, otherwise all your changes will be reset to their defaults when you log out of the hotspot and back again. It took me a few minutes to figure it out! As far as coverage, it's great! I was able to eliminate 2 Wi-Fi repeaters that I used to provide a decent signal throughout my house. All of my wireless devices work much better now. Also, my Verizon router only supported 802.11 b/g/n in the 2.4 GHz band. Because this access point transmits data on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands simultaneously, and most of my wireless devices support 5 GHz, the performance of most devices has improved significantly. This is the best money I've ever spent on Wi-Fi devices. Highly recommended!
