Got these recently and I love them so far! Much warmer, and MUCH lighter than the similar metal hooks that I've been using for years. I wish I had bought these sooner. They are really smooth, but might occasionally have a small spot that is rough, but so far, after using 3 different sizes, no catches or snags. Rubbing wax paper will smooth them out if they start to get rough. One thing though, keep an eye on them, or hide them from the pets as they have a familiar 'wooden stick' odor, and the dog (our adult anyway) had an inclination to steal them off my workspace and start chewing them. Luckily I caught her soon enough that she didn't do any damage. (PHEW!) I have these hooks, the 12.5" knitting needles, and the 9" DPN's all in carbonized finish.I would absolutely buy from this seller again, the product came from upper-mid-west to New England in less than a week with super saver shipping, and they were packed fairly well.
