So I would say that my wife and I really like this item. The finish is very good, similar to what you would find on a new Island Packet or (if it were a car) Mercedes. The luminous flux is correct, the illuminant is installed. The light diffuses beyond 8 feet making long casts useless, but it's not designed for that. At the stand, they consume 0.84 watts per lamp. 3 are used on the boat to replace 1980's brass reading lights and additional working lights in the galley. The boat is a 1988 Hunter 30-2 (G Series). The attached photos should help those on the fence. I hope they last long enough in Caribe without replacement.
