Review on All-Purpose Organizer by ClosetMaid in White by Lawrence Reuter

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good for the price paid

PROS: - Sturdy and can put a decent weight on the top. - Instructions are easy, take your time - screws hold everything together instead of hammering in nails, except for the back. - The holes are drilled for you so you don't have to worry about the screws going one way - Small plastic covers that cover the screws to keep the organizer looking clean and consistent. CONS: - While the instructions were clear, one detail was left out: front and back look different. The leading edges have a small thin strip of laminate covering the compact wood, the trailing edges do not. one piece. A user below said they mistook the front for the back, which is true as I did almost exactly the same thing - the back is a piece of cardboard. It's thin and you have to hammer in nails. As another person said, this can break the laminate because the nails go the wrong way easily, so I suggest not even using the backing. NOTES: - Requires glue for certain assembly parts. Neither a minus nor a plus for me, but some people might find it useful to know. This was a surprise as I thought you would need glue for all this, but it's more for holding the pieces in place so you can insert the screws. I recommend using Gorilla Glue as it helps hold the structure in place and you only need to dab a little on the pop up pieces to make it work. There are two small holes at the top left and right that can be used to stack multiple ClosetMaid products. .You can also plug the holes with separate plugs included in the kit. For me personally, this is neither a plus nor a minus, but it was interesting for me, and it may be useful for others.
