I wasn't sure about this pillow at first because it's about 1/3 the size of a normal pillow. However, I converted after a few nights in my 4 year old's bed. He has a standard sized pillow, which isn't quite enough. However, we tried a second regular sized pillow and it is too high for him to sleep on. It's actually the perfect size to give him a little extra lift without overwhelming him. The pillow comes with its own cotton pillowcase which is good as I have no idea where to find a replacement, the main reason being 4 stars instead of 5. The pillow is soft but not fluffy and my son thinks it's the perfect size for hugging.
