Review updated: September. 2, 21 "The first two months were great! I had no problems until one night when I lay in bed, as I often do when I am disabled. I often use this device while lying on my back as I have a damaged sciatic nerve and can't do anything else. It didn't matter how careful I was with it, obviously both had legs where the plastic snaps to hold the system up, both had stress fractures that I wasn't aware of until one leg just fell out of my hand when I closed it him went adjust the height of the stand. and last night i got my hands on the other leg, that fixing piece of plastic, while i was decorating it, and unfortunately i was a bit disheveled for the rest of the night because i have no other way to see my laptop fully, Unless it's in an elevated position! I then contacted Amzn CS, who of course could not do anything for me because it sometimes takes more than 30 days for a product to show its defects, and then they suggested what I had already done, which was to contact production . The manufacturer is a really nice person (or group of people) who quickly took care of my problem with my product. I have never worried about money as the most valuable thing to me is the booth and I really appreciate that the seller got everything right with me without any fuss or added stress. I can still place the stand stationary on the table, but for me personally, the stand's lack of a key feature makes it completely useless for my needs. So if you buy this stand primarily because it rises so you don't have to crane your neck forward in bed to type while lying down, there's no other way to fix this as these two plastic pieces will fall apart or push back a little to close them support it with the weight of your laptop running downhill. I recommend this stand as it has a metal stem that plugs into the base instead of the plastic stem. they are: Asin: B091B34YYW and B08V5FJQV9. The V9 color is my go-to and I recommend this option for its more durable metal settings as opposed to plastic ones. It wouldn't drain my laptop battery (which happens if it's left on and off). Reset your USB socket by plugging it in right next to the power cord. all this sits very practically on the back of the device, in the middle and doesn't bother me. It also has a very nice, durable braided USB cable instead of those sharp metal cords with cheaper fans sticking out of the connector. out of your system to try and serve the same purpose, but all they do is shock you while ripping good chunks off your hand. It's just a plug and it plugs all the way in and I'm very happy with the quality of the connectors and cables that came with it. It's long enough to comfortably plug into the side of my laptop, but not as long as it gets in my way, or so short that it strains your ports, which you never want to do! bc Replacing these errors involves soldering (soldering) to the motherboard, which is both dangerous and something not many people know how to do properly :) I was also very picky at this point and wanted a fan included a protective base plate ! I'm constantly going from sitting to lying down and I've had a fan before that didn't have a protective base and I've cut my fingers pretty badly on the fan blade on the cheaper models that didn't have this plate at the bottom. I'm not worried about this fan anymore, it's worth the money. I decided to spend a few bucks more to get a fan that was finally good enough to last a while, fit me, and something I could adjust in height based on how I lay down, whether I lie or sit on my back. I'm blind too and I like the screen right in my face! So the very nice adjustable legs that you can fold up and lock into their many adjustment slots are really a plus for me and that's exactly what I was looking for. I have a 14.1 inch gateway laptop and it fits my system perfectly. suggest anything over 14.5 inches as you'll be walking on the sides of the frame if that bothers you. There is a small panel attached to the bottom of the fan that can be pulled out like a small battery box! but it's not for batteries and it took me a few minutes to assemble it. There is a small slot on the front of this fan base where you can insert this small plate (side to laptop, big indentation in the middle to the top). It only goes in one direction and will hold the laptop by the fan when mounted in an elevated position such as on a desk. B. when I lie on my back. I'm pretty sure it won't slip in my face now because of this little much needed feature lol. It's not designed to hold a flash drive which is a downside, it only holds one platter but I use a locking platter so I don't care and it doesn't bother me at all. idk anyone wringing their hands together to type anyway. I can even use my trekking pad properly when needed. not difficult for me at all. In fact, my laptop is heavy compared to this machine and I can easily lift it with my weak hands. and now I have the perfect gaming rig. something to prevent my game from freezing due to internal temperature issues. would replace with the same unit, highly recommended for gaming systems!
