4.5 stars rounded up to 5 stars. I've had the old W-King D8 for a few months now. I love D8! Sounds very good, enough bass for my taste and loud enough for my needs. I like its design and functionality. My only criticism of the D8 is the repeating low battery alarm, which starts beeping every 90 seconds at 20% battery. Worth you can't beat D8 but T9 is great! This is a nice powerful speaker. I'm guessing that's twice as much as D8. It sits high and the controls are on top. I prefer to lay it on its side and it has subtle rubber pads on one side. The T9 sounds fantastic! The bass is even better than the very good bass of the D8. It gets loud enough for my use and can shake my bedroom walls. I really like that this device has a volume control. It also has a simple, efficient, and detachable handle, which I appreciate; While it hides easily, I don't think I'll ever remove it. It comes with very nice braided cables for USB and 3.5mm Aux-in. I have to use the AUX input when watching videos on Hulu, for example with an older D8 due to audio lag, but I didn't notice any audio lag on the T9. The Wizards of W-King fixed the low battery alarm! Now there is only one beep at 20%, one at 10% and one before shutdown. Hallelujah! I'm not a party person but the light is fun, it has a few settings and I can turn it off whenever I want. I want the device to remember the backlight settings. After a restart, the lighting settings return to the original ones. Normally I would prefer no light and I have to drive through 5 times to turn it off. Another minor complaint (and this could be user error/iPhone bug) is that my phone doesn't tell me the battery percentage of the T9 like my D8 does. It's not waterproof, probably due to the method that allows you to play amazing sounding bass with an open port on the back. So take some precautions. The battery is pretty good, maybe a little less efficient than the D8. Excellent speaker. Amazing functionality. Pair 2 together and you can rock any party (but that's more than I'll ever need). One is more than enough for my use. I am very happy with both W-King speakers that I have purchased and would recommend them to any music lover.
