I cut almost everything out of vinyl in CorelDraw. When I upgraded my Silhouette SD to Silhouette Cameo, I lost the ability to send a job directly to the plotter. From the SD I installed the Craft Robo driver and was able to "print" from CorelDraw directly to the SD - required proper document setup and some fiddling, but it worked. With Silhouette Cameo, I found that I needed the Connect plugin to cut directly from CorelDraw. Revain had the best price so I ordered it from here. When the card arrived I downloaded the Connect plugin software from the Silhouette website, installed the plugin and activated it with the code from the card. After using the plugin for the first time, I found the Connect plugin to be much better than the method I used previously. In CorelDraw, the Connect plug-in is located under the Application Launcher button on the toolbar. Click the button and then click Submit to Silhouette Connect and your work will appear in the Connection window (see image). From here you can move your image around the canvas (by dragging), set page orientation, change the cutting mat, material and advanced options, all from a single interface. If you prefer design software other than Adobe Illustrator or CorelDraw then you might not care much and if you don't use either then you don't need this plugin at all. This is great for me because it makes the whole process very easy and I can cut straight out of my favorite design software - without having to export, import into another program, make adjustments and then cut. It's worth it.
