I took a chance on this light and I'm glad I did! I have since bought a second one for another tank. I have it on a 10 gallon tank and I think it's the perfect size. I like a simple timer. The color-coding indicates how long it's supposed to be on, turning on at the exact time you press the button every time. You don't have to enter the local time, just turn it on at the right time and choose the duration of the time. I set it to 10am. It grows my plants perfectly and has 10 different brightness levels with several different modes: white only, full color, blue only, etc. Great light. And because it's attachable, there's enough light to rear pothos from behind too!
