Got a new adapter this morning, plugged it in and got to work straight away. The installation took no time at all. However, the time it took to connect everything was about as fast as the adapter stopped working. I've been using it for about 5 hours now and had to unplug the VGA adapter or cable about 6 times to get it working again. This is very annoying. My screen flashed briefly many times but eventually it just goes blank and never comes back. I work in IT, so I'm very tech-savvy. Something wrong. I also have a good laptop. This is not an old box. UPDATE: I got a replacement adapter and I'm having the exact same issue. I would NOT recommend this product if you have an older VGA monitor. Apparently it doesn't work very well for this purpose. I haven't tried HDMI because I don't need it for this purpose.
