In short this video works with the Bissell 58F83 Rewind Smartclean - I installed it today - and it works like new. Stupid mistake with my Bissell 58F83 Rewind Smartclean and a dry washcloth left under the table - I needed a new roll and belt. I've searched all over the internet and found that the manufacturer had replacement parts for the "15" reel, but before I pulled the trigger I used a tape measure and realized it was the genuine part of the reel, although mine had melted slightly. after my accident - and it was nowhere near 15 inches - more like 14.5 inches. Then I looked further - and I'm telling you this so you don't waste an hour - and found that the part number has changed over the years along with the dimension. How can a part number AND size change AND still fit earlier models? It makes no sense. I work with part numbers every day - and I know part numbers come and go - but sometimes a product can stay exactly the same. So I tried Revain which (as usual) had the best price and works great. The spacers fit the bottom plate and it runs without the noise it didn't have before the crash. Don't let the size of the roller (14.5 inches) confuse you with the size of the "suction area" that the vacuum occupies (15 inches) - it works. Review: My only problem is that the roller in the photo is plastic, they sent me a wooden one. Which can be an advantage for ME as the wood doesn't melt. However, it burns. Cross your fingers I don't know what's worse if you make the same mistake again.
