Review on ESynic Digital Angle Finder Protractor: A Versatile Tool for Precision Measurements by Shree Carmean

My title pretty much sums up the review. The protractor is supplied in a plastic case with instructions printed on the back of a cardboard insert. It comes with a battery, which is nice. As soon as I opened the box, I noticed how flimsy the plastic rulers are, and I was afraid they wouldn't be accurate because of that. To my surprise it turned out to be very accurate as you can see from the photos. Unfortunately, when you're doing anything other than just measuring an angle, accuracy takes a back seat due to cheap, flimsy plastic ruler pins. If you take that measured angle into a project and try to draw that angle on wood with a pencil, the plastic handles are so brittle that they bend, bend and almost crack, making transferring that angle very difficult. Reading is very crisp and clear which is a pleasure. The locking button doesn't click very well and you can still move your hands a bit if you're not careful and mess up your measurements. Speaking of hands, it's really nice to have metric centimeters and millimeters on one end of the ruler. You never need this until you get the metric measurement from the sheet set, and then you're out of luck if you don't have it. broke in my shop drawer so I hang it on a pegboard in the shop. I saw on the Revain website that there is a newer version of this metal and this might be your best bet. The only thing that actually helps with the ruler's metal handles is seeing through the plastic at times. If the metal levers had a milled slot that you could see the project through, that would be perfect. Again, this is an accurate protractor but would be much better with a hard protective case and ruler upgrade.
