Review on Professional Bose QC35 Cushions Replacement Accessories & Supplies by Trina Piskie

Revainrating 4 out of 5

So far I'm happy with the best ear pads

Bought these to replace the original ear pads on my Bose QC 35. The originals self-destructed after about 1-1/. 2 years. That was pretty disappointing considering I babysat the headphones and their original price. After weighing my options for replacing the ear pads - either aftermarket replacements or Bose originals at a much higher price - I settled on this product. As I can't compare them to Bose's office replacements they are "maybe" cheesy less thick but they are comfortable even with glasses and I'm happy with the purchase so far. Installation was about the same as buying a Bose. I first tried installing the new cups without the plastic tool that came with the kit. Once I got the trick, it was easy. Place the new ear cups on the earbuds one at a time. GENTLY pull the ear cushions toward the center of each eartip to reveal the black plastic surround that mates with the eartip. Notice where this rim protrudes slightly on the ear cup. Under each such bulge is a small clip in the earpiece. Use the "knife blade" of the included tool to press the rim of the cup against the clip. You will hear it click into place. Just take your time and go around each earcup until all the clips fit into the new earcups. Then enjoy the updated headphones. Can't speak to noise cancellation in a noisy environment like an airplane (because I've never flown on an airplane with headphones on). But indoors, when I turn on the headphones, the air conditioner noise is gone. In general I am satisfied, especially the price. If anything changes in my opinion, I will update this review.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not bad but...
