I was so impressed with these inexpensive mics! I use many very expensive Shure systems, but some applications cannot support the price of this infrastructure, and battery powered RECEIVERS offer more flexibility in a battery powered system like the JBL EON Compact. And their support team is very quick to respond, not only in case of problems (a brand new receiver didn't hold a charge and they got a replacement in the mail 48 hours later) but also if you have any questions like the ones I've encountered that they sell two wearables and two headset systems, but not a combination. They immediately responded with instructions to re-pair the mics, so now I have two mixed systems. A quick note: two-mic systems come with a receiver that can handle two mics, ChA ChB. Since two microphones go into the same receiver and are therefore controlled by ONE volume channel, when using two microphones at the same time, you must first adjust the volume for the person on the portable device, and then use the volume control on the headset to set the desired volume. . But usually the reason for a dual system (a PDA, a headset) is to be able to use EITHER a laptop or a headset, so you don't typically use two mics at the same time. However, it is possible to spread the frequencies of all four microphones, allowing you to connect both receivers and use all four microphones at the same time. Now let me clarify the situation. When trying to get 100 feet from the transmitter and receiver I use my expensive Shure systems, but for closer work (which is probably 80% of what you will be doing) they work very well. So for less than $175, you can have two sets of wearable/headset systems that can work at the same time. As I said, price/performance unbeatable :-)
