I have an elderly bedridden parent who needs to do laundry almost every day if not every other day. Because of the amount of medication, her urine had a very strong odor. I've tried everything: non-chlorine bleach, ammonia, white vinegar, lots of detergents/fabric softeners, extra rinses and pre-soaks. Washing her clothes with the rest of the family was expensive and time-consuming. After reading everything I learned about enzyme based cleaners and their effectiveness in removing odors. If it could work with pet urine, it could certainly help with my problem. Yesterday the first load came off with noticeable success, the laundry smelled fresher than usual when spinning in the dryer. I will say it's not 100% effective as I can still smell a faint odor of urine but not nearly as much as it used to was. This product is more expensive than others I have seen. The cost savings come from buying fewer cleaning products and not having to wash your clothes multiple times just to keep them smelling.
