Review on 💪 Powerful Performance: Shop Vac 5987100 Gallon Vacuum for Efficient Cleaning by Eric Smithlin

I bought this unit to replace the 6.5hp 16 gallon Shop-Vac my dad gave me in the early 2000's, model QPL625. It's a workhorse, I've used it for hundreds of hours and the vacuum still works, but the old vacuum ended up having flat spots in the motor windings so I figured it was time to get another shop vac. I've only had this model for 2 weeks so I can't comment on the durability of the heavy SVX2 engine yet. However, I can say that this vacuum cleaner is just as powerful as the old vacuum cleaner. sucks rocks, sticks, leaves, paint peeling off boards, puddles of water, basically anything that isn't physically attached to a heavy object. The volume is probably in the range of 60-70 dB. Loud enough to interrupt a conversation, but the hearing protection will not work loudly unless used continuously for more than 5 minutes. A previous review mentioned that one of the downsides to this device is the lack of built-in storage for attachments, but you also have to consider the pain in the butt of removing all of the built-in attachment tools before you can turn the vacuum cleaner upside down to empty it. I like this model because it does NOT have all rarely used instruments stored in the onboard memory. Unused instruments are stored elsewhere in a mesh bag. Fill the vacuum, remove the motor from the top, turn it upside down to deflate, turn the motor back on and you're good to go. Fast and easy. The only downside I have is the lack of 90107-19 reusable dry filter discs that come with this model. For dry picking, I prefer to use the dry filter disc in combination with the included foam filter 90585. The included pleated filter with vacuum cleaner 90304 works for both dry and wet picking, but the cost of replacing the pleated filter is much higher. Repeated wet/dry use of the 90304 filter means additional expense for replacing a wet cartridge that I rarely use.
