While this can be adjusted to go the other direction, there are pre-drilled and embedded bolt holes that are not on both ends/sides of the desktop piece. You will have to drill into the desk and use washers or find other screws that will work to hold on the support brackets.It looks good. It's a little flexible/flimsy as far as support on the long side goes, but it is good for the price. If you read the directions, read the labels, and check your facing, it goes together easily in the prescribed layout.
