Theoretically, this should be a lot better. It isn't: the ice ball makers are difficult to fill and don't come out properly, resulting in genetic abnormalities: half balls, caved in balls, etc. The squares come out a lot better and I do like they come with lids so that transfering from the tap to the freezer means no spills.
