I like having the bag holders on opposite sides so it's easy to take out and put away one bag at a time or access the bag's pockets when it's on the rack, not involve fighting with another bag. There's more room for each bag than other models and it works well, but honestly it could have more (the side pockets tend to get snagged depending on how big the bag is and how full the pockets are. But the open back allows bag to still be stowed away and still reach pockets (unless you lean them against the wall - we keep them in the garage perpendicular to our bikes so easily accessible anyway. The fit and finish was good and it only took about 20 minutes Gather.
