We used these clips to attach built in LED lights with bezels to our old lights. Spring clips (which didn't hold) or long wire legs could be used as substitutes. Old jar lids were held up so no clamps. These little mounts are pretty tricky to install; However, we don't have to worry about the light hitting the ground in the middle of the night.
