Let's start with the positives. This is a good entry-level gaming headset. If you already have a few other Logitech gaming devices (like me) this works well with the Logitech gaming software and you can adjust the audio levels and enable/disable the surround sound feature. The headset sounds great, but I didn't notice much of a difference with the surround sound turned on. People say the mic sounds good when gaming. Love the fact that it comes with an external USB sound card, or you can use the standard 3.5mm audio/mic jacks if you already have a decent sound card. If you're using a headset with the included USB sound card, be sure to visit the Logitech website and download the firmware update. On the downside, the headset feels a bit cheap. The earbuds swivel so they make a rattling noise when you put them on and take them off or put them down. The braided cable is VERY thin, it feels like a wrong move and it will break in half. If you have a cat or dog, be careful with this cable. Also, the ear pads and headrest are a bit stiff and uncomfortable during long gaming sessions. It's definitely not as soft as I thought it would be. It would also be nice to have a mute switch somewhere on the headset instead of a switch in the middle of the cable. The microphone is flexible, but sometimes it doesn't stay in the desired bent position. All in all, if you're looking for a decent entry-level USB headset and it's on sale, give it a try. Otherwise, check out Hyper X Cloud or other Hyper X headsets for more overall fun.
