I've been suffering from poor WiFi performance on my remote Linux system for about two years. I've tried all the usual means like different adapters, messing around with installing drivers, writing cron scripts to reset keep alive, whatever. Sometimes I could get something working for a couple of weeks, and then just when I thought everything was going well, the connection would start to drop again. it worked with linux. I found a Panda 300Mbps adapter and decided to give it a try. I was surprised! It has been working for several months without a single failure. No more nightly visits to my remote site to reset my preferences. I'm a lucky tourist. Whatever they are doing in this device, keep going!
