Make sure the tub drain is 5/16 and not 3/8
There is insufficient information on the size of the pin that screws into the tub. There should be BIG and CLEAR advertising in the HEADLINE, not hidden in the fine print. I rebuilt the old one with new parts/internals of this new one to fit. I'll eat $20 next time and buy it at the hardware store.
