BATTERIES EXPLODED TWICE! When I first used it, it made a very loud popping noise and stopped working. When I opened the battery compartment, the battery literally jumped open and juice spilled out. So I took out the batteries, gave them a good cleaning and put in new Duracell batteries. The last batteries were a foreign brand. Here I am. A few weeks later I went to sharpen my pencil and nothing happened. So I went to open the battery compartment and noticed a white coating on and around the cover. So I opened it and it was all over. It looked like I put batteries in it 10 years ago and never used it. Corrosion. Garbage. Don't waste money. I bought it on 04/15/2020 and today is 05/27/2920. So it's been a little over a month for me. Well I think I should read the description but I'm in dire need of a pencil sharpener and this one seemed cool.
