Works great! I tried it on a 2003 Silverado 1500 and with a little extra effort it goes right through the hole and does EXACTLY what it's supposed to. I bought it because it was MUCH CHEAPER THAN THE 1500S MODEL. Don't believe the people who say it doesn't work on these models because it works! How many times are you actually going to drop it and change a tire? I added extra lube to the cable in hopes it wouldn't rust like the factory model. And it is very easy to install.
