I carry my crossbody bag over my left shoulder so I was looking for zippers that are accessible when I turn the bag forward as well as good water bottle pockets and a phone pocket to fit my big phone fits. This bag does all of those things. It's light, has a decent internal compartment for things like pens and bits and most importantly, I can position the double zips in the main compartment to face me when I slide the bag forward. The phone pocket on the shoulder strap of the bag is huge; It took me a while to get used to how big and chunky it actually is. The appearance of the case with my phone looks a bit silly. But I think I've gotten used to it after wearing it for a few weeks now. Heart cancer fears aside (y/k), this is actually a convenient place to carry our external brain packs (phone). It also has a spot where I can quickly attach the key to the carabiner so I don't have to rummage around in the back for my car or house keys on short trips. This bag has mesh for water bottles on both sides and they fit my favorite vacuum mug (Contigo) and my small water bottle (both 16 ounces) or travel umbrella. The center front zipper seems handy, but I found that small items (lip mask, hair ties, pen, etc.) only fit in there when the bag is full. The open back pocket is great for quick access, but since it doesn't close with a zipper, small items can fall out. The main compartment is quite roomy, but the only electronic device I can fit in my bag, along with my wallet, glasses case, and chargers, is a Kindle Paperwhite. The bag doesn't have a hidden pocket on the back like my previous bag, but the design is such that anyone trying to open the bag and take things will have difficulty doing so. The double zips in the main compartment could probably accommodate a very small padlock if needed. Baskets sewn on the sides with a large zipper for this compartment. It only opens up the paths a bit so you have to dig around a bit to find anything by feel. There are no pen holders here, which I think is important because a woman with no markers is an ill-prepared woman. There are two mesh pen pockets, a large pocket on the front and a large device pocket on the back. I think if you have real valuables you can just shove them all the way down in your pocket where nobody (not even you!) can get to them without serious intention. retroactively. It sits awkwardly and interferes with the small inner pockets of the large compartment. I actually moved the key fob to the dead space at the very top of the large compartment. So my keys hang from the top of the interior in the back of the compartment and don't bother anything else. or t-shirt by tightening the strap with sufficient force. I can see this open bag and the strap that goes over it being used for this kind of day trip. The back strap can be switched to the left or right so that right-handers can also use the bag. I'm considering buying a backup version in a different color just to have another one on hand. It looks like a good bag for everyday use. I can't fit my iPad, Chromebook, or other larger devices in it, and it's difficult to fit a magazine or other paper larger than, say, 5x7, but I don't often have to carry these things in this bag. Tl:dr: Nice little bag that works well for left handers and people who don't need to carry around large devices.
