After taking this toy out of its cage during normal toy rotation, my parrots rush to this toy whenever I put it back in a cage! They love it and of all their toys, this is the one they play with the longest. It seems very safe and well made for a bird toy. I'm buying a second one for my other cage. I've read of some other toys with exposed metal hinges, snagging spots, and broken plastic. I've never seen anything like this with this toy. BUT I would say with ANY and ALL of these toys: you should inspect them very carefully before placing them in the cage, checking for exposed metal loops and cracks and running your hand over all protrusions and surfaces for possible sharp ends etc. D. Sand them all smooth. This includes all the welds in the cage. Hey, they are your babies and their happiness and safety depend on you!
