Very good trainer for unruly dogs. and AMAZING customer service.

This is Hydro. He's my blue boy but he's also SAD and I needed help to tutor him as it wasn't going very well! He's stubborn and VERY energetic, so he doesn't always listen. I don't like choke and spike collars and they don't do anything about barking or any of his other behavior problems anyway. .pulling on the leash is the last thing on my mind. However, I hated the idea of a shock collar even more. but after a long search I found this collar. While it offers 99 levels of static shock, it also offers a beep that you can trigger with the remote (can be used as an alarm or vice versa as a 'good boy' like a clicker) and 99 levels of vibration. I just use beeps and vibrates, and as stubborn as he is, usually a good vibe hit at 58 or so gets him running home. The battery life is way better than some other brands I've read and as long as I charge the collar and remote every few days it's fine. Others might need to charge it more if they use it more than me, but I think it works very well. The waterproofing is VERY nice and very important to me as I work in/near the water and the hydro accompanies me to work so the collar is regularly fully submerged in water and never had an issue and while the remote is not submersible I have she used it in the rain and it was good. The only 'bad' thing, and it's not really a bad thing, but something to keep in mind when using small silicone extensions for long haired dogs, put a dab of super glue or whatever in them before you put them on. . Teeth. On both collars I've had these extensions fell off somewhere while he was in the collar and I never found them. this brings me to one last REALLY good point about this product and company. the fact that I had two of them. i bought one used, loved but lost the remote control. so i ordered another one. used, loved and lost the remote again (I think Hydro hides it!). So I wrote to the company and asked if there was a way to just buy a remote control. A very nice customer service rep named Pam contacted me and said she would replace my remote for free. You won't get better customer service!
