On a Mercedes Benz vehicle with a 12mm wheel bolt (not a wheel nut bolt) the bolt just under the head and above the "cone" on the wheel bolt failed. The eyebolt on the hub has obviously gotten caught in a blind hole. A commercial (non-consumer) penetrant was applied and reapplied throughout the day. Heat was not used. The 12mm external puller "bites" the broken bolt. The extraction tool broke mechanically when the torque was applied manually (not with one blow) and without "opening". Where a safe operating torque exists for these items, that torque specification should be specified. Otherwise, the person simply applies as much torque as muscle strength will allow. For a given torque, a torque wrench set for maximum operating torque is used. Therefore, this tool is unacceptable for professional use.
