At this price you understand you are not buying an ancient piece of expensive jade, hand-carved just in a young man's sweat. Of course we are here to get cheap but high quality jewelry. If you're like me and more worried about jade, then this product is for you! The cable is missing, it's cheap and can wear out. The ends of the cord are "flocked," meaning a smaller thread is wrapped around the end to keep it from wearing out. It's a really good technique, but unfortunately the glue they ended up using isn't the best. One of the whips on the necklace came loose the first time I put it on, but a knot won't fix anything. The knots for adjusting the cord are secure and durable. As already mentioned, the jade is not very high quality, but it is better than expected. The quality of jade is judged by the green color of the stone and the absence of imperfections. The jade in my necklace is a very light green color but the lack of imperfections was amazing! All in all, the only reason I took off the star was because the whip at the end of the cord came off right away.
