I bought this power supply to power my 12V LED strips. In my experience, the horse power that came with my tapes was not sufficient for this task. From a pure performance standpoint, this device seems to perform well. My headlights now work as they should. However, it is very noisy when the fan kicks in, which is most of the time since I'm running it near its rated power. I have this in my living room with 12v accent lighting and it's too loud for the surroundings. After trying (unsuccessfully) to modify the ventilation with different fans, I replaced this unit with a 300 watt version that doesn't require a fan. I tend to overload my projects to allow room for growth, which is not a good idea in this case.
