Don't be fooled. I am a full fledged professional user of woks and electric woks and under no circumstances use metal tools in electric woks. I use a lot of oil and wash lightly. - This cover is a failure in every way. - Durability is not only greatly exaggerated by the seller/advertisement, it is MUCH worse than the competition. - None of them are great. But none of the others dies that easily and I say that as a regular customer of this and every other big brand. I'm a Buddhist in the industrial art field and I'm HAPPY to be making about 2-3 pieces a year. It's the only one that dies in less than 2 months.
