The hose itself is very high quality - thick, flexible. However, the technical part of the pen is poor. 1) I am using the Eureka Mighty Mite 3670H which this hose was designed for and the hose has too much suction to work on a bare floor or short carpet. The nozzle is too small to compensate for the suction volume of the vacuum cleaner - even with the nozzle fully open, the nozzle constantly gets stuck on the floor or carpet, making the vacuum cleaner very difficult to use. The original Eureka hose had a vent about twice the opening of this new hose. 2) The original Eureka hose grip had a vent located on the straight side of the grip towards the front and bottom of the grip. With this new hose, the vent is closer to the back of the handle, just below the curved portion, and also faces the user's face. This is a very bad and dangerous design: whatever is sucked in by the suction head flies through the hose, and when it hits the handle, it continues straight ahead. Because the vent is in line with the debris and debris flowing through the hose, that debris is blown out of the vent - tiny pieces of rock, sand, glass and other dangerous flying objects pass through the pipe. hose at 100 km/h. I kept getting sand and other debris in my face while vacuuming last night, couldn't figure it out until I covered the vent with my hand, at which point the flying objects stopped. This is a high quality hose with a terrible design. I wouldn't recommend it until the design is changed and the issues are fixed. . Anyone who uses this and is unaware of the dust and dirt spurting out of the hose can seriously damage their eyes.
