I bought these as work gloves. Pay attention to the size on the small side. I usually wear large gloves and could have bought XL, I ended up fitting them to fit. I like the full leather index finger for finding and picking up small items. The ankle pads are good but I wouldn't rely on them for protection. Overall it's a very comfortable fit and I'm very happy with this product.
