Asked my wife to order this tool and Dorman 911-048 for our Hyundai Santa Fe 09 as the fuel gauge shows empty even when the tank is full and the engine light is on. The codes scanned were for fuel senders. Firstly, this tool will make your work faster and easier, but it needs a little modification. The ring opened easily, even the grooves of the tool weren't fully fixed to the ring. But the hardest part was putting it back on, it's very tight, I even cracked my Harbor Freight 25 "Prof 1/2" Bi-Bar. The tool now mounts under the ring and somehow prevents the ring from slipping under its clasp. As the other guy here pointed out, he sharpened it to make it thinner by at least half, from 3/16" to 3/32" I believe. Since I don't have access to a grinder, I cut it out with a hacksaw and filed it smooth. Easy enough, the next try was as smooth as butter in a hot pan. I'm not sure about the other car, but the Santa Fe, believe me, it was there. I will post some photos for you. A little tip: put the ring in the same position that you take it off, this will help to fix it completely. Much luck! I hope it helps.
