Review on πŸ”Œ High-speed Plugable USB Hub - 10 Port, USB 3.0 5Gbps with 48W Power Adapter and Dual Flip-Up Ports by Joe Ashan

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The device was able to provide enough power for my USB 3.0 device.

The USB 3.0 ports on my motherboard could not provide the power needed to run the Zalman ZM-VE400. The ZM-VE400 is a combo USB 3.0 mass storage device and bootable device (it includes a user-selectable SSD) - a great device that is sadly no longer available. I purchased this plug-in USB 3.0 hub specifically to see if it could provide the power needed to run the ZM-VE400. I'm happy to report that the plug-in USB 3.0 hub is more than capable of supplying the necessary power to reliably run the ZM-VE400. The ZM-VE400 has a built in 4 digit voltmeter to measure the USB input voltage and I am very happy to report that the input voltage (5.134 volts) was stable even at the highest write speeds for the ZM-VE400. The lower digit has not changed. I was able to boot the Zalman device from all ports on the hub. The hub and power supply were very well designed. This is one of those items that you buy and are happy to know that it met all of your expectations.
