The laser was purchased for a major floor renovation at our son's house, including replacing all sub floors and installing 3/4 inch hardwood. an important part of the job to create straight lines for any room and hallway. The micro stand is a key feature to ensure precise alignment, as is the magnetic gimbal that allows the laser to be placed on a metal drywall. All in all, a very good buy for the most useful laser.
