Not a bad bookshelf, although the shelves are just chipboard. They are made of wood so it looks very nice from the other side of the room. My adult daughter put this together for me in about 40 minutes. She was impressed with how the screw assembly was designed. Instructions are good, Allen key included. There is an extra drilled hole which we thought was for fixing the bookshelf to the wall, a good idea if you have a child or toddler as they might try to climb on it. It came in a box with lots of styrofoam for protection. . The box is pretty heavy. For those who tried their hand at ready-made furniture decades ago, it has been perfected so even a layman can do it.
