I bought these for a trip to Iceland after reading almost all the reviews. I wanted better weather protection than just the fleece lined leggings I've read about on blogs. I'm 5ft 5in, 140lbs, hourglass figure. I can wear a size 4 or 6 on many major brands, but mostly a size 6. I wanted to be able to wear thermals underneath if needed, so I ordered a size up. I definitely have a round butt and I didn't want my pants to look stretchy. I ordered 30x30. My actual waist is 28 but with my hips I knew I would regret buying that size. They're loose enough to easily accommodate thermal underwear, yet slim enough to look good on their own. I'll be ordering another pair in the 29x30 next. Hope this information helps!
