I am very particular about the space in the closet. I have a child and I don't have extra hands to pick up dropped items or rehang items that slide on hangers. Also, it annoys me to no end when I'm in a hurry to find something in the closet pushing all the hangers aside, and bags or items of different weights/sizes are pushed together, sticking together, or the hangers just don't move together evenly and end up swinging and hit each other, tangling the loose strings together. This hook looks solid without being bulky, it has the look of shiny stainless steel. Not my favorite look, but it never lets me down. Scarves, umbrellas, backpacks, bags of various sizes and weights, children, busy adults. Anyone can throw whatever they want on these hooks and they hang perfectly straight, they move evenly with other hangers, and it's easy to find what you're looking for and easy to remove from the closet. I started with 4 of these and I think I have 35 in different closets now. And they seem to reduce the volume of purses and backs (maybe items can hang lower than on hangers)?, saving a lot of space.
